Our rural retreat resides within the agriculturally rich south Shropshire countryside nestled amongst open fields, traditional mixed woodland and rolling evergreen-capped hills.
Occupying 12 acres of luscious natural space our park, awarded the David Bellamy Award for Conservation, is a haven not only for you but for many species of wildlife which year upon year provides nesting grounds for many migratory birds, including ducks, geese and swans. Meanwhile the diverse mixture of broad leaf and coniferous trees provides both you with shade on warms days and a home and perch for Woodpeckers, Buzzards, Owls and many other birds. If you are lucky you may catch a glimpse of burrowing rabbits, badgers, fox’s and even the cheeky yet elusive otter.
The heart of the park though is the lake, for which all our cabins and lodges are nestled around, throughout the year it is brimming with a diverse range of wildlife from tadpoles to dragonflies and newts to shoals of Koi Carp which can be seen basking in the sun.
Over the last few years we have extended the facilities available and now have a dedicated children’s play area and a field just for family play and games. Over the coming years we plan to extend the park into the neighbouring traditional mixed woodland, opening up nature trails with tree, flower and fungi identification plaques as well as woodland games and activities for all the family. |
